<p>After raising six children and launching them out, life pulled the rug out from under me and shattered my world. I discovered my husband had fallen in love with another woman. I freaked out, hit the floor and curled up in the fetal position for 6 months. During all those years of raising kids, I had kept nothing of myself and never earned a penny. I had no career, and now suddenly I needed one. I felt desperate and cornered, lacking even one ounce of courage.</p><p> </p><p>One night I had an “aha” moment, “Wait, I don’t have to stay here because the kids are grown and I can’t heal in this town.” That led me to put everything I owned in storage, sell my car, shut down my phone and travel in developing countries by myself for a year. While on my global journey, I had to learn to overcome all of my fears and find my own identity.</p><p>Upon my return to the States, I became a certified life and leadership coach. I am also an author and an international speaker.</p>
