<p>Nine schools on two continents didn't make for an easy childhood, so books became the only constant in Karen Guyler's life, even if they didn't help her get out of sports days. Now, settled in Milton Keynes, England, she juggles reading with writing, four children, her husband, a big puppy, a day job and creative writing tutoring - a much nicer mix!</p>
