<p>ALAIN BOULANGER was born in France and migrated to Australia as a child and eventually settled in Hong Kong. He is the illustrator and editor of the children's book <em>John The Fish and Other Stories </em>and the author of the novel <em>The Shimmer. </em>This is his second novel.</p>
