About the author
Sajesh Shakya
I am an indie author from Nepal, who loves movies, TV, and books. Unlike many authors who have had the passion for novels and writing ever since they were kids (or so they claim), I only found out about my interest in the written form during the lockdown.
Movies are my favorite medium of storytelling and I even used to dream about being a director at one point. During the lockdown, I watched and rewatched a lot of my favorite movies.
I realized a majority of my favorite movies and even some TV Shows were adapted from Novels, mainly Stephen King and Gillian Flynn, among others. So I started reading and, and kept reading more. Before I knew it, I got interested in writing too. Especially when I read Stephen King's On Writing.
That was the beginning for me and my interest in fiction. Before I knew it, I was writing short stories, then after a dozen of those under different pen names, I wrote some stories under my own name, only I never published them.
As a Non Native English speaker, I have a long way to go. Since English is quite literally my 4th language, my wording, writing style and humor may not work for everyone. I do hope that all the English content I observe (American English mostly) helps me with time.
My preferred Genre as a writer is Thriller (Suspense, Psychological, Domestic, etc), As for a Genre to read or watch as a Audience, I'm all over the place. Sci-fi, Fantasy, Horror, Crime, Drama, THRILLERS etc. It all sorts of depends on what mood I'm in.
