Sanford Emerson is a native Maine-iac who came of age in the 1960’s and still remembers most of it. Retired from a thirty-five-year law enforcement career in the mountains of western Maine, he lives on a farm with his lovely and talented writer wife and a mildly psychotic cat who thinks he is a real numbskull. His short stories have appeared in <strong>Best New England Crime Stories </strong>in 2015, 2016, and 2017. He has also been published in <em>Down East Magazine</em>. <br><br>
