About the author

Agathi Arvanitidou

<p>&#160;Agathi Arvanitidou was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. She studied Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She was trained at the Ludwigsburg University of Education in Germany. She worked as a teacher at Greek schools abroad, in the DR Congo and in Germany. In Greece, she worked at Intercultural Education high school of Thessaloniki city and volunteered for military service with the Greek army. Moreover, she has participated in scientific conferences and international scientific meetings. She has published articles in scientific journals, newspapers, and educational bulletins.</p><p></p><p>She is the author of three printed books on 1) the military service of women in the Greek army, 2) her travel experiences in America, Asia and Africa, and 3) the education of foreign and migrant students at Greek schools. In addition, she has contributed to the editing and publishing of four illustrated books on the educational activities of foreign and migrant students in Greece.</p><p></p><p>The last years, she has been spending her time in Thessaloniki, Greece and Manchester, England, while also editing her fourth book on the Recommendations and Conclusions of the Conferences of the International Bureau of Education &#8211; UNESCO.</p><p></p>
