Alfonso Vientos Bonilla

<p>Alfonso V. Bonilla, is a 26-year veteran with the New York City Department of Corrections. He served as an intelligence and apprehension unit supervisor investigating homicides and suicides.</p><p>His collaboration with the outside agencies led to the formulation of methods of apprehension of escaped prisoners and nullifying inmate murder conspiracies. </p><p>His last 10 years as a captain in the NY State Supreme Court further enriched his experience in a world little known by outsiders.</p><p>He believes the courts' back-room holding pens are a place of reconciliation, and teenagers should be exposed to the inner workings of the court system.</p><p>With the help of court officials and the District Attorney's Office, he arranges court tours for at-risk teens.</p><p>He also serves as an ambassador for Crossroads Prison Ministry in Grand Rapids, Michigan.</p>
