Maryse was born in Montreal, Canada, early on a chilly Tuesday morning in January.<br><br>Drawn to the unconventional, to creative endeavors, and a bohemian at heart, she’d have spent her early adult years traveling the world whether or not those events she talks about in <em>Crooked Straight</em> happened.<br><br>She got her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Nevada, but not until after overcoming the events in Crooked Straight, getting married, and having children.<br><br>She ran a small business for too many years to count and raised two exceptional human beings before dedicating her time to writing.<br><br>When she’s not elsewhere, you’ll find Maryse in a cute town north of Dallas, Texas, in her perfect “tiny” home surrounded by beautiful mature trees, the song of birds, and don’t forget the squirrels! She’s known to go radio silent for no reason. At all.
