George Rollie Adams

George Rollie Adams is a native of southern Arkansas and a former teacher with graduate degrees in history and education. Currently president and CEO emeritus of the Strong National Museum of Play, he has been a writer, editor, and program director at the American Association for State and Local History and director of the Louisiana State Museum. He is author of <em>General William S. Harney: Prince of Dragoons&nbsp;</em>(a finalist for the Army Historical Foundation's Distinguished Book Award), coauthor of <em>Nashville: A Pictorial History</em>, and coeditor of <em>Ordinary People and Everyday Life: Perspectives on the New Social History. </em>​​​​​​​His <em>South of Little Rock</em> has received three independent publisher's awards for regional fiction and one for social issues fiction.
