<p>Mike was raised in the charming town of Marcus, Washington, swimming in the majestic Columbia River. Being a kid of the 70s, many of his summer days were spent in remote logging camps deep in the mountainous backwoods, working alongside relatives.</p><p>He served 23 years in the military, retiring as a Navy Chief Petty Officer. He and his wife currently live in the Eastern Tennessee mountains where he is a long-haul truck driver, enjoying the beautiful scenery through his broad windshield while listening to audio books and plotting his next story.</p>
