About the author

Nancy O'Hare

Born and raised in Canada, far-off destinations drew me in from a young age. Later on, I managed to weave together a career in professional accounting and international business. Living and working among such varied places as Australia, Oman, Switzerland and Nigeria proved that expectations are generally wrong. And sometimes, what you believed to be impossible finds its way into reality.

My most recent book, a suspense novel dedicated to my dad, is a twisting tale set in Malta. Follow a handful of characters in their race to unravel a series of mysterious events that are somehow linked to the fragile state of world affairs in The Man in the Barretina Hat. My earlier books uncover off-the-beaten-track travel destinations from a trek in far-eastern Bhutan to castles steeped with lore and scattered across the Baltics in Searching for Unique and Dust in My Pack. I also created two introductory handbooks about basic personal investing in Reclaim Your Financial Wits and From Wages to Riches.

My husband has an incredible eye for capturing the essence of remarkable landscapes, captivating people and intriguing cultures.
