A daring falcon shifter and a charming robin shifter meet at the Shifter Yuletide Ball and realise there might be more between them than mere attraction.

When Miss Emily Falnor decides to pay a surprise visit to her sister in time for the Annual Shifter Yuletide Ball, the last thing she expects is to fall in love.

The dashing Mr William Crestfellow never planned to be swept off his feet when he visits his closest friend, but the moment he meets Miss Falnor, he knows that he has lost his heart for good.

While Emily's sister seems intent on stopping the match, a masquerade ball provides the perfect opportunity for the two avian shifters to meet without anyone becoming wiser...

There's nothing particularly wrong and nothing particularly right either. I've loved every book in this series until now. This one, I just like. It never grabbed my attention and I did have to fight myself a little bit just to finish it. Maybe I don't care for bird shifters or maybe it just seemed to repetitive. Please remember this is just my opinion. You may love it.

Emily (h), falcon shifter, flees from her controlling aunt and escapes to her newly married sister’s home so that she might attend the Shifter Yuletide Ball. William (H). a robin shifter, stops to see his friend and his new wife, and meets Emily. Emily’s sister worries about Emily and cautions her to behave appropriately at the ball. Even though they’re masked, Emily and William recognize one another and thus starts their sweet shifter romance.

Anything can happen at a shifter’s ball. I laughed when you realized that both William and Emily knew who each other were but acted liked they didn’t. This is a very short story that gives you a little insight into Emily and what she is like. An easy read. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
