Ani is not thrilled to learn that as Blessed of the London Temple of Anubis, she has a role to play in the election for a new High Priest. Fortunately for her, Nik will volunteer to act as her assistant and make sure she does not miss any important details. These are all wonderfully well written characters. The changing and continuing development of the relationship between Ani and Nik is both fascinating and compelling. Some romance in an interesting new world created by a fantastic author.

Electing a High Priest. Ani finds herself in an uncomfortable spotlight when she discovers she is in charge of the election of a new High Priest. Not only that, her opinion on the candidates could sway many voters. All she wants is to care for the dead, not deal in temple politics, especially when there are threats involved. This series is maturing into a real winner. Each book is getting better and better. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

A new High Priest is needed at the London Temple of Anubis and Ani is appointed, due to her Blessed status, to help with the proceedings leading up to this new position. Again she is put to the test of whether or not she can handle her new Blessed responsibilities along with still learning just how to do her regular jobs at the temple. She is only been at the temple for 2 years and has already seen and done things many don't even have to endure. I received an ARC and my review is voluntary.
