Two too many corpses! As a necromancer, Doctor Stacey Barnes has a distinct advantage at her pathologist job for the Paranormal Police Department. She isn’t the only one there with special talents. Dr. Gabriel Rook, her best friend and also a talented necromancer, often helps with crime scenes and autopsies when needed. This latest case rouses her special interest. Two bodies where there should only be one! This book has an intriguing plot with some interesting twists and paranormal action.

Our hero and heroine have always kept things professional, but something about the latest case is forcing them to rethink their approach. Maybe a closer relationship is not a bad thing after all. This is a side story from the main series. As such it is a standalone and can be read at any time. This is a cozy mystery story with a magical setting. The story is well written and easy to read, which I would certainly expect from these authors. The characters and setting are also well developed

This was such a warm short read. Two friends who are magical and work together find more than murderers. During a murder investigation these friends find the answers to their own lives. Friends may become more than friends if they each can let love grow. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
