A bear, a dwarf and a vague prophecy
Rose’s story and a retelling of Snow White & Rose Red.
If you’re expecting a variation of the Disney classic this is not that story. There is a story in the series based on that tale Mirrors and Magic. I was a little confused at the similarity with the names as well.
You may recognize Rose and Blanche from a prior book but here they tell their own story. They have a very vague prophecy about them that involves a bear wanting shelter, a dwarf that will want to steal the bear’s treasure. They’ve know it all their lives but it’s still confusing to figure out what it really means. Rose who is the primary character here figures the prophecy has begun when the boy she likes has a herald of a bear on his jousting shield. Then we proceed into a tangled web of titles, rude nobles aka the dwarf and the twins trying to avoid the fate that could befall them.
An interesting story to be sure but a bit confusing if you think about the abstract and vague details of the prophecy. Not my favorite in the series but still enjoyable nonetheless.

Twin Prophecy
I do not recall what fairy tale this represents but the story is endearing and interesting. Twins Rose and Blanche have a prophesy involving both of them however it seems more concentrated on Rose. The intrigue and mystery surrounding the elusive prophesy causes angst as the reader continues along. Once the prophesy is revealed and new transfer student and Rose’s suitor Gavrel assists Rose the courtship is entertaining. This entire Grimm Academy Fairy Tale retelling are feel good story shorts.

Fantastic!! A much loved series that’s a must read. Wonderful characters and so much more. I received a arc copy from booksprout and volunteer to review this book.
