I have to admit that I didn’t recognize the fairy tale while reading it, but in hindsight I can recognize the elements that make this a beauty and the beast story. Although it is a very loose retelling, I did thoroughly enjoy reading it, just as much as I’ve enjoyed other books in the series. I really enjoyed this short, fun read. I really liked Astrid and Conan but wished we could see more about what was going to happen after they left Grimm academy. I don't like how Astrid left off with her family and hope we hear more about her in future stories so there is more info about that. This was a very enjoyable and entertaining read and can't wait for the next one to see what happens. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
