About this ebook

Enter the world of Grimm Academy, a fantasy academy where fairy tale characters go to escape their prophecies. Uncover the magic in this gender flipped retelling of Aladdin.

Lies always catch up with the ones keeping them, and Alyeesah has several.

Caught up in her pretence as a Princess, Alyeesah learns about her prophecy when it's almost too late, and if she's going to stop it and win the heart of her prince, then she'll have to move quickly.

With someone else pulling the strings, and the rest of the academy just waiting for her to make a mistake, it might even take Alyeesah's third wish to get herself out of trouble.

Three wishes can change everything. Aly had nothing but finding a magical ring gives her everything she ever wanted including education at Grimm Academy. The genie can make wishes come true but he can’t stop her prophecy from starting. I enjoyed this retelling and its happily-ever-after ending. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

Here is the female version of Aladdin and the lamp only this time it is a ring. Aly finds a ring after helping an old lady and gets three wishes. Her first wish is to be a princess and be accepted at the Grimm Academy, her second wish is frivolous but the third beats them all. I really enjoyed this tale and would recommend it for all ages. I really enjoyed this genie and love how he interacts with Aly. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Can a Fake Princess Have a Real Prophecy? I have so enjoyed the Grimm Academy stories by this author. She always manages to create a very inventive twist on an old fairy tale. This one is a take on Aladdin and the Lamp. The book starts with a struggling young woman from the wrong side of the tracks, so to speak, living a hardscrabble existence. Her life is altered forever when she finds a magical ring with a genie attached to it. As typically happens in genie stories, he offers to grant her three wishes, with a few notable exceptions. One thing I like about this story is that the genie truly seems to care about her. He not only grants her wish to be a princess but helps her to be more princess like, assisting with reading, writing, and acting with proper decorum. He even continues to aid her after he has granted the three wishes. Unfortunately, this book did have some issues with grammar, punctuation, and usage. Random commas were left in where they should not have been. The book had multiple run-on sentences. Sometimes “that” and “which” were not appropriately used. As I received an ARC copy, I did check the published edition here, but unfortunately, these errors persist in that. Other than that, as always, a great spin on a classic fairy tale by this talented and imaginative author. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
