Finally, Fiona's story! I've been wondering why she has been hesitant to display her tail at MerSoc meetings, and now I know. The inner turmoil and drama that Fiona experiences is so clearly conveyed, it's as if I could experience it along with hee. Such a terrible ordeal to have experienced, and with such a lacking support system (both in knowledge and comfort). Wade was a complete 180 from what she was used to, and what she was expecting. While his initial reasons for agreeing to help her were somewhat self-serving, he quickly realized just how important actually helping her was to him and dedicated himself completely to helping her in every way he could. These two had an amazing connection. Their interactions ranged from tentative, to friendly, to flirtatious, but were always natural and never contrived or forced. It was fun to watch their friendship blossom as Fiona found her fins. I completely enjoyed the ARC I was given to read, and voluntarily provide this review.

What a cute story. I was excited for Finona’s story and this does not disappoint. Fiona wants to hang out with other merfolk, but she can’t fully due to not being able to swim. Wade is so amazing and supportive as he helps her learn and work towards her goals. The book has amazing characters that you easily connect with. I highly recommend you read this story. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the fourth book in the Obscure Academy Series and it focuses on Fiona (Mermaid) & Wade (Merman). Their story was really good and I enjoyed both their characters as well as learning more about the Mer society in this series. I hope Georgie gets a book at some point because she seems like a really fun character. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
