This book was simply wonderful. The characters drew me in from the start and I wanted to be friends with all of them. My heart went out to Bernie on several occasions. I can not imagine going through some of the trauma that she had to experience, and her continual struggle to simply function on a daily basis. Shane was a breath of fresh air. He definately was not the Alpha male that sometimes garners the majority of the attention. He was comforting, calm, understanding, gentle, and reassuring yet he was still confident, determined, intelligent, and charming. These two made a fantastic team. Shane became invested in helping Bernie find a solution to her problem (outside from his origional benefit). It was obvious they cared about eachother through their interactions and dialog. I enjoy it when readers are included in the relationship building in that manner. I look forward to reading more in this series. Happy Reading Y'all 📚

Bernie was a vegetarian before she was turned and her sire just left her alone. The Obscure Academy is trying to help guide her but she cannot stomach blood, a vampire needs blood to survive. She joins a cooking class in the hope that she can maybe cook something good to help her keep the blood down. The teacher is HOT and sympathetic to her cause. This is a fun, light hearted series that is a pleasure to read. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Our heroine has a big problem and doesn't know how to fix it. So when she finds someone that understands and is willing to help, she is all onboard. This is book two of the series, but it is written as a standalone, so no prior reading is required. The story is a paranormal romance with an academy setting. The story is well written and easy to read with a couple of fun characters as our leads. We get a nice bit of the usual academy elements coupled with a bit of an unusual romance which all
