In this installment, the beloved Spooky is in it quite a bit more. However, for a bittersweet reason. Her main owner, the elderly Diana, knows her time on Earth is coming to an end. She wants to make sure Willow and Azíl will take care of her wonderful kitty. Thank goodness Willow has a cousin like Clover. Clover manned the shop through most of the book. Willow was in no shape to. First off, she is late....as in late, late. So is she pregnant or not? Has she and Azíl even talked about kids? Is the timing right? All these questions are answered in book. On top of that she still has the Sect to contend with. They are really putting Willow in a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation. About that, I'm starting to get the feeling that Wilfred isn't with the Sect voluntarily. The next installment I'm hoping will solve Willow's conundrum. I anxiously await that book.

Willow is struggling with the decision of finding out the amount it would cost to buy back Azil’s curse or try to find someone in authority they can report the Sect’s activities to. Spooky seems to be spending more time at the coffee shop and even seems to be sad but fortunately that is one mystery to which they can find answers. I love all the characters; they are well written and compelling. Willow and Azil are definitely a unique couple and are facing a nearly impossible decision to have the

The plot thickens with the Sect and its cost, plus a personal scare (but it's not really scary) for Willow. The Sect is still looming in the background, haunting Willow and her every move. She's just a bit paranoid and that paranoia grows when Spooky shows up again. It's a pretty quick clean read, like the others, and I'm looking forward to the next one!
