Chris Norbury

<p><a>Chris Norbury is the award-winning author of the mystery-thrillers <b><i>Straight River,</i></b> <b><i>Castle Danger</i></b>, and <b><i>Dangerous Straits</i></b>. The stories feature Matt Lanier, a southern Minnesota farm kid turned professional musician whose middle-class world is turned upside down when he uncovers a conspiracy run by a powerful, ambitious, violent real estate magnate.</a></p><p><a><br></a></p> <p>He also wrote a cozy mystery short story titled “<b>Killer Tacos</b>,” which is featured in <b><i>Cooked to Death, Vol. V: Restaurant in Peace</i></b>. It’s an anthology of crime-mystery stories written by fourteen Minnesota authors. Each story is related to food and restaurants and includes the recipe for a dish mentioned in the story. </p><p><br></p> <p>Chris grew up in the Twin Cities and earned a B.S. in Music Education at the University of Minnesota. He’s a member of the Twin Cities and national chapters of&nbsp;<strong>Sisters in Crime</strong> and belongs to the Alliance of Independent Authors<strong> (ALLi)</strong>. Chris supports independent bookstores and promotes the website<strong> </strong><strong>indiebound.org</strong><strong> </strong>whenever he can.</p><p><br></p> <p>He was a volunteer Big Brother for twenty years and now refers to himself as a “Big Brother Emeritus.” Chris donates a portion of his book sales to <b>Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota</b>.&nbsp;He and his wife live in southern Minnesota.
