At 40, I pressed snooze on my love life. Tired of being the third wheel, curvy girl with the 'pretty face', I was over the online dating scene. It was finally time to focus on what I wanted. Working retail was a dead end, but I was ready to chase my dream as a romance writer. If I couldn't have my happily ever after, I would damn well write it for every girl who needs hope. It's not like I needed a knight in shining armor, I could take care of myself.
